Broadway Under The Stars

Well, here we go again. So, if we can't put on a show outdoors, let's put on a show indoors! Steve and I have conspired to bring a little bit of Broadway to town with the help of the Art Society and the High School District. We hope to raise some funds to support future efforts.
We are having intensive rehearsals and the show is shaping up for a Friday, 24 June opening. Please call me if you want more information or may wish to visit one of our rehearsals late next week. (513.3863)
I have summarized some notes about the production below.
Broadway Under The Stars returns for one poular production of "ANNIE", one of the best-loved musicals!
(that is Under The Stars with a roof overhead)
We are unable to erect the costly outdoor Brentwood Playhouse so we have arranged for a temporary
venue until we can raise the funds to repeat the popular experience of last year.
The Kinsella Theater Group, the Brentwood Art Society and the Liberty Union High School District
have combined forces to bring the ever popular musical, "Annie" to the area.

Annie is a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and finds a new family and home in the billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy. |
